Front Desk Agent
The Sun & Ski Inn and Suites, together with Stowe Bowl and the Stowe Golf Park, offers exceptional family experiences in Stowe, VT. We view this experience as building relationships that leave guests feeling content, connected and eager to return.
The Sun & Ski Inn and Suites is a 39-room hotel centrally located on Mountain Road, providing both a quiet spot along the West Branch River and convenient access to local shops and restaurants. Accommodations vary from standard rooms with 1-2 beds to suites with a kitchen and fireplace. Guests can enjoy our onsite glass-enclosed pool, fitness room, complimentary breakfast, eight-lane bowling lounge (Stowe Bowl) and 18-hole miniature golf course in the summer (Stowe Golf Park).

Position:
The Sun & Ski Inn and Suites is seeking a professional, proactive, friendly, hands-on front desk agent with superior customer service skills. Computer skills and the ability to multitask are additional key factors to succeed in this position.
Being the first impression to our guests, our front desk agent must be both an excellent communicator and strong administrator. The front desk agent is to be trustworthy, dedicated and courteous to guests as well as our fellow Sun & Ski Inn team members.
Responsibilities:
-Provide outstanding services and ensure customer satisfaction.
-Respond to customer needs and requests in a timely manner.
-Answer phone switchboards, transfer calls and take messages.
-Manage incoming and outgoing emails.
-Post charges to customers and handle card and cash transactions.
-Ensure reception area is tidy.
-Handle guest check-ins and check-outs appropriately.
-Take reservations over the telephone, through emails and in person.
-Answer queries regarding the hotel’s services, charges, dining facilities, and travel directions.
-Contact housekeeping and maintenance departments when a problem is reported
-Balance cash at the end of the shift and generate accounting reports for the benefit of the next shift.
-Assist with morning breakfast box and coffee service.

Position:
Stowe Bowl is currently looking for a line cook with a positive, team-oriented attitude to join our small but fun and productive operations; one whose ultimate goal is to promptly provide fresh, tasteful and appetizing food dishes.
Our line cook will be trained to complete service for both prep and line shifts and will assist with special events and parties as necessary. While our line cook will not always come into contact with the customer, customer service and satisfaction should stay top of mind in terms of appearance, hygiene, and interactions with guests.
Our ideal candidate:
is comfortable working alone in a small kitchen;

Responsibilities:
Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare menu. Service duties include: Breakfast to-go boxes for hotel, Dinner, Parties and Special Events
Prepare a variety of foods that meet company standards on quality and timeliness of service
Arrange sauces and supplementary garnishes for allocated station
Cover, date and correctly store all bits and pieces and food prep items
Notify Kitchen Manager in advance of likely shortages
Serve menu items in compliance with established standards
Use food preparation tools in accordance with manufactures instructions
Maintain a prepared and sanitary work area at all times
Keep the work area fresh all through the shift
Ensure all storage areas are tidy and all products are stored appropriately
Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices
Return dirty food preparation utensils to appropriate areas
Assist with all duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager
Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine
Close the kitchen correctly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations
