Late summer into early autumn in Vermont is one of the most beautiful times of the year, and the weeks between the heat of summer and the chill of October are the perfect time to soak up the last few rays of the season.

Late Summer Fun for Everyone
Join Stowe Yacht Club on Commodores Pond behind Commodores Inn to see mini, remote-controlled sailboats race every Monday and Wednesday from 4:30 to 6 PM. This even runs bi-weekly May through November and is free to the public.
Enjoy a bite to eat and a refreshing drink from the deck overlooking the pond and maybe get the chance to join in the fun yourself! For racing fans, there is a Championship Regatta from September 12 to September 14.
Racing will run from 10 AM to 4 PM with an Awards Banquet on the last day.
One of our favorite annual events, the Stowe Jazz Festival features amazing artists for three days in September. This year’s festival will take place September 6-8. A full calendar of performances can be found here.
Visit Spruce Street Village Center any Friday 11 AM to 3 PM during the summer to check out amazing local artistry.
Running until August 23, this outdoor market is a great chance to check out what local artists are up to and buy unique handmade wares.
Open every Sunday, May 19 through October 13 from 10:30 AM to 3 PM, the Farmers Market brings local farmers to the heart of Stowe to share their delicious harvests.
Check out the incredible assortment of fresh local produce, meats, dairy, baked goods, maple syrup, herbal products, and satisfying beverages, meads, and spirits, as well as prepared food including BBQ, pizza, and dessert! Late summer is when the stalls are most abundant and the variety of local fruits and vegetables available is fantastic.
Guaranteed to have food for the whole family, the market is open rain or shine making it the perfect Sunday family event for the end of Summer!
Visit one of your favorite breweries, the Alchemist, every Thursday 5 PM to 9 PM for delicious craft brews and live music! The brewery has a large lawn and is welcoming of kids and dogs, so bring the whole family out for a free fun night of music.
The Alchemist also offers brewery tours, only $10 per adult including samples and a souvenir glass! The tours are open to all ages and all proceeds go The Alchemist Foundation for local youth.
Want more opportunities to try delicious local food? Check out Cliff House on Saturdays to experience their Summit Series Wine Dinner and enjoy an incredible six-course meal!
With themes including Backyard BBQ, Seafood Lovers, and Fall Harvest, there is something for everyone to enjoy. While you’re there, take a ride on the gondola for a beautiful view of Vermont.
Come see the largest all-British motorcar show in the US featuring over 600 British automobiles from the US and Canada! Going into its 29th season, the British Invasion car show is a “three-day celebration of all things British.” Over 65 separate classes of motorcars will be featured, including Jaguar, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Sunbeam-Alpine, and more!
Visit Main Street on Friday night, September 13 from 6:30 to 9:30 PM to enjoy the Street Party, including live music, food and beverage, and local shops and restaurants.
Admission to the show is $15 for a Saturday/Sunday pass and $10 for Sunday only.
