After all the skiers and snowboarders have melted away with the winter snow, spring is a welcoming time to explore a different side of our beautiful village.
In addition to Stowe’s burgeoning craft beer scene, we also have an exciting cultural and art scene that highlights well-known artists as well as some immensely talented students and members of the community.

Helen Day Art Center – A cornerstone of the cultural community in Stowe, the Helen Day Art Center offers events, classes, family activities, and exhibitions. Stroll through the galleries to see current art installations, or bring the kids for some hands-on activity at one of the family events. There are works displayed from renowned artists, as well as from students in our community schools.
Robert Paul Galleries – Sculpture, glass work, and original paintings by locally, nationally, and internationally acclaimed artists are all on display at this beautiful gallery located on the Mountain Road. Take your time browsing and then enjoy a leisurely lunch at nearby restaurants Doc Ponds or McCarthy’s Restaurant.
West Branch Gallery and Sculpture Park – If you like contemporary art, then you’ll want to spend some time at this unique spot that offers both indoor and outdoor exhibitions. Head here on a warm spring day and spend some time in the sculpture park, enjoying contemporary art set against the background of the Green Mountains.
Stowe Craft & Design – Not quite a gallery, this local shop features the arts and crafts of more than 300 U.S. artists with a focus on showcasing pieces created with sustainable materials. If you enjoy shopping for jewelry and home decor that you won’t find anywhere else, you will want to stop into this popular spot and take a look around!

Stowe offers great opportunities to discover art outside of a gallery setting. Here are some unique spots in Stowe to spy art!
In the warmer months, a must-see around Stowe is Exposed, an outdoor sculpture exhibition curated by The Helen Day Arts Center, featuring works and installations from national and international artists. These whimsical and thought-provoking works of art can be found in and around the village, many of them site-specific pieces made just for their surroundings. Want to know more? Art on Park – Stowe is also home to one of Vermont’s premier artisan markets. Every Thursday, from June 20 through September 6, local artisans set up to sell a variety of handcrafted products in a festival atmosphere with delicious food and live music. Free and open to all!
The Alchemist – this popular brewery and visitor’s center in the heart of Stowe offers more than just beer tasting to tourists and locals (although you are definitely going to want to sip their popular brews). Local artists are featured throughout the facility, much of it integrated into the working elements of the brewery.
Pint Night & Art Walk Morrisville – Another great Vermont craft beer + art collaboration! On the third Thursday of the month, head to neighboring Morrisville to grab a pint at the renowned Rock Art Brewery while perusing the offerings from local artists. You will definitely enjoy the beer, and you might just leave with a one-of-a-kind souvenir of your trip or special gift.
