Our accommodations include everything from standard rooms with one or two beds to suites with kitchens and fireplaces. Housekeeping Attendant

About this Position

The Sun & Ski Inn and Suites is a fun and friendly workplace seeking experienced dependable Housekeeping Attendants to join our team! You will be preforming a variety of cleaning activities with the goal of creating an orderly and welcoming environment for all guests and visitors. Our rooms are kept up to date, continuously maintained, and meticulously cared for.  We expect that you will complete tasks timely with integrity and an eye for detail. Responsibilities

  • Daily cleaning, organizing and restocking of guest rooms and public areas
  • Basic housekeeping duties include: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, trash removal, windows, and bathroom disinfecting and sanitation
  • Linen care, washing, folding and replenishment
  • Inspect and prepare guest rooms for arrivals and stays according to hotel guidelines
  • Deep cleaning of hotel rooms twice per year
  • Report all guest concerns and maintenance issues immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Maintain company safety guidelines and procedures

Skills & Qualifications  

  • 1+ years housekeeping or related experience
  • Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and manage time

Custodian & Facility Support

About this Position

The Sun & Ski Inn and Suites is a fun and friendly workplace seeking a dependable Custodian to join our team! This position is best suited for an individual who enjoys performing a wide variety of tasks in order to provide our guests with a top-level experience. The Custodian will assist with ensuring that the hotel public areas and grounds are properly maintained and is also responsible for handling guest requests related to light maintenance repairs, preventative maintenance of rooms and public space, and for completing special maintenance projects throughout the hotel including: pool, spa, (light) painting, battery replacement, smoke detector checks, and HVAC cleaning.  The right candidate will have a can-do attitude, a friendly and professional demeanor, and have attention to detail. We aim to provide our guests with exceptional service and quickly respond to their needs. Weekend and holiday shifts required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel lobby, hallways, restrooms and public areas including sweeping, mopping, and trash and recycling removal.
  • Clean the surrounding areas of the hotel, including the sidewalk, patios, parking lot and landscaping.
  • Maintain the pool and whirlpool spa area.
  • Assist Housekeeping Department with Laundry and stocking guest rooms
  • Perform minor building and equipment preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain company safety guidelines and procedures.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant 1+ years related experience preferred.

Front Desk Agent Part-Time

The Sun & Ski Inn and Suites in Stowe, Vermont is seeking a front desk receptionist with superior customer service skills. Computer skills and the ability to multitask are also key factors for being successful in this position. As the front desk receptionist, you give the first impression to the guests at the Sun & Ski Inn and Suites. A successful receptionist must be both an excellent communicator and strong administrator. As a member of the Sun & Ski Inn team you are trust worthy, committed and respectful to guests as well as fellow team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding services and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to customer needs and requests in a timely manner.
  • Answer phone switchboards and transfer calls and take messages.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing emails.
  • Post charges to customers and handle card and cash transactions.
  • Ensure reception area is tidy.
  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs appropriately.
  • Take reservations over the telephone, through emails and in person.
  • Answer queries regarding the hotel’s services, charges, dining facilities, and travel directions.
  • Contact housekeeping and maintenance departments when a problem is reported
  • Balance cash at the end of the shift and generate accounting reports for the benefit of the next shift.
  • Assist with morning continental breakfast service.
  • Room inspections.
