As Fall settles in, Stowe prepares for an exciting winter season. Here’s everything you need to know for the upcoming winter at Stowe Mountain Resort, including new updates for this season.

While Stowe is a year-round destination, winter brings a unique energy. Here are some of the top activities to enjoy this season:
SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING
Stowe Mountain Resort offers exceptional skiing and snowboarding in the Northeast! Explore a wide range of trails for beginners, intermediates, and advanced skiers on Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak. Get your tickets here.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING AND SNOWSHOEING
Many cross-country and snowshoe trails overlap. The von Trapp Family Lodge Outdoor Center offers rentals and peaceful trails through scenic woods.
ICE SKATING
Stowe Arena, downtown, provides public ice skating sessions during winter and summer months.
New 6-Pack Lift
The Sunrise Lift replaces the Mountain Triple and now reaches the base lodge, eliminating the steep stair climb previously required to access the lift.
Paid Parking Policy for Winter 2025-26
Stowe has implemented a new parking system with paid, free, and carpool options. Here’s what to expect:
RATES
- Non-Holiday: FREE
- Carpool of four or more in one vehicle, Friday – Sunday and holidays: FREE
- 8AM-2PM, Friday – Sunday & holidays: $30 flat rate (if fewer than four people in one vehicle)
- All lots are paid except the Cross Country Center and Toll House lots
- FREE Lots: Cross Country Center and Toll House lots remain free every day
- Shuttle service runs from the Cross Country Center to the resort
