Where We Started

Under second-generation leadership, Sun & Ski Inn and Suites continues to evolve while honoring its family-owned roots. Set on 8.5 scenic acres along the Little River, the property enjoys a prime location between historic Stowe Village and Stowe Mountain Resort. Since Michael and Debi Diender acquired the inn in 1996, Sun & Ski has grown with the addition of signature amenities like the Stowe Golf Park, expanded accommodations, and a glass-enclosed pool - Creating a family-focused, experience-driven stay in the heart of Stowe

Today, second-generation leaders Rachel and Mark Vandenberg continue that legacy, blending international perspective with local pride. Since taking the helm in 2012, they have guided Sun & Ski through major renovations and growth, all while remaining actively involved in the Stowe community. Together, they ensure Sun & Ski remains a welcoming, family-owned destination designed to evolve with every guest’s stay.
